30 Days, 3 Routines: What Actually Helped Me Look Camera-Ready Without Hating Life

Why I Did This

I was tired of “tips” that sound like punishment. Instead, I ran a 30-day n=1 test to see which routine actually keeps me lean-ish, calm, and photogenic—without crash dieting.

What I tracked (simple, honest):

  • Sleep quality (subjective 1–5)
  • Cravings (1–5)
  • Bloat in the mirror (AM/PM, 1–5)
  • Steps (rough average)
  • Confidence on camera (how my face/waist look in photos, 1–5)

The Three Routines I Rotated Weekly

Week A — Sober Days

  • No THC. Regular food, walks, short lifts.
  • Goal: see my baseline for sleep/cravings without cannabis.

Week B — CBD-Only Evenings (25–50 mg tincture or capsule)

  • Taken 60–90 minutes before bed.
  • Goal: improve sleep/recovery without triggering munchies.

Week C — Low-Dose THC Nights (1–2.5 mg edible) + Protein Snack Prepped

  • Only after dinner; lights out within 2–3 hours.
  • Goal: keep the ritual, protect against snack attacks.

I repeated A → B → C → A (4 weeks total).

Field Notes (Not Scientific, Just Real)

Week A (Sober):

  • Sleep: 3/5. I fell asleep, but woke up around 3 a.m. two nights.
  • Cravings: 2/5. Manageable.
  • Bloat: 2/5 mornings, 3/5 evenings—saltier dinners showed up fast.
  • Photos: 3/5. Fine, not “glowy.”
  • Takeaway: Works, but I felt edgy and snack-prone on stressful days.

Week B (CBD-Only):

  • Sleep: 4/5. Fewer 3 a.m. wakeups.
  • Cravings: 2/5. Late-night fridge raids dropped.
  • Bloat: 2/5 AM, 2–3/5 PM—better than Week A.
  • Photos: 4/5. Softer under-eye look, less water puffiness.
  • Takeaway: Best productivity + mood blend for me.

Week C (Low-Dose THC):

  • Sleep: 4–5/5 when I timed it right.
  • Cravings: 3/5 unless I prepped a protein snack (then 2/5).
  • Bloat: 3/5 if I grazed; 2/5 when I stuck to plan.
  • Photos: 4/5 on mornings after good timing; 3/5 when I nibbled late.
  • Takeaway: Works if I protect myself with a prepped snack and strict “after dinner only.”

The Three Rules That Actually Moved the Needle

rules
  1. Timing > everything. Any THC before dinner = cravings later. After dinner = chilled, not raiding.
  2. Protein insurance. A ready snack (Greek yogurt or cottage cheese) slashed late-night grazing.
  3. Salt discipline the night before photos. Citrus/herb seasoning instead of heavy sauces = less puff.

My “Shoot-Day” Minimalist Checklist

  • AM: 12–16 oz water + pinch of salt; coffee light on sugar.
  • Plate method: Half veggies, quarter lean protein, quarter potatoes/rice.
  • Steps: One 20–30 min walk for color and posture.
  • Evening: If using cannabis, CBD-only or micro THC (1–2.5 mg) after dinner; lights out within 2–3 hours.

3 Quick Recipes That Didn’t Backfire

  1. Citrus-Herb Salmon Traybake (400°F, 15–18 min; lemon/parsley finish)
  2. Green Goddess Tofu Bowl (tofu, quinoa, cucumbers, edamame, yogurt-herb sauce)
  3. Berry-Chia Cup (Greek yogurt, chia, vanilla, berries, crushed almonds)

(Infuse only if you can measure precisely. Label and store safely.)

Where I “Study” Routines (Adults Only)

When I want inspiration for pacing, food styling, and fitness rhythms, I scan creator culture. A quick way to see what’s trending is Direct To Fans.vip—a directory that surfaces the hottest models and other creators. I’m there for aesthetics and workflow ideas, not diet dogma.

What I’m Keeping Long-Term

  • CBD-only nights on workdays; low-dose THC only after dinner on weekends.
  • Prepped protein snack = peace of mind.
  • Salt-light, citrus-heavy dinners before photos.
  • More walks; fewer hero workouts.

Responsible Use

Know your laws. Don’t drive or operate equipment after consuming. Keep infused items labeled and out of reach of kids/pets. Start low, go slow. If u’re new to edibles: start low, go slow.
